Repreve Core
Our signature fabric is spun from recycled ocean-bound plastic bottles. Then printed in-house with designs made to be worn for years, not seasons. It holds its colour and shape through sun, salt and chlorine, which is the part most swimwear quietly gets wrong.

Sustainability
Swimwear's dirty secret is that most of it is made from virgin plastic, and most of it eventually ends up in the sea. We started Sandbar to do the opposite. These are made from REPREVE recycled polyester, which is 100% recycled ocean bound plastic bottles, traceable to source through FibrePrint verification. On top of this every order funds the removal of 1kg of ocean plastic. We're not pretending it solves the whole problem. We are saying it's a better starting point than the alternative

Why I am special
With every Father & Son set purchased, Sandbar® funds the removal of 2kg of plastic and trash from our oceans. That is 1kg for each pair, dad's and son's.
Each pair is made using 6 to 8 recycled plastic bottles, spun into Unifi's REPREVE® fabric.
