Navy Womens Caftan

Our caftan cover-ups are made from LENZING ECOVERO Viscose, a premium plant-based viscose engineered for everything generic viscose gets wrong. The cellulose is regenerated from wood sourced exclusively from FSC or PEFC certified forests, and the manufacturing process uses at least 50% less water and produces 50% less carbon emissions than standard viscose. The result is a fabric that does what no synthetic can. It drapes like silk, breathes through warm weather, sits cool against the skin, and reads as effortless even when the temperature hits forty degrees. The kind of fabric that earns its place in your suitcase for the next ten holidays.

Sustainability

Swimwear's dirty secret is that most of it is made from virgin plastic, and most of it eventually ends up in the sea. We started Sandbar to do the opposite. Our swim pieces are made from REPREVE recycled fibre, our cover-ups from plant-based LENZING ECOVERO Viscose, and every order funds the removal of 1kg of ocean plastic through our Seven Clean Seas partnership. We're not pretending it solves the whole problem. We are saying it's a better starting point than the alternative.
